Welcome to South Kent Sportsman's Club. We offer something for everybody, trap, skeet, rifle, pistol and archery. Serving the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Holland, Grand Haven, Allegan, Hastings and surrounding southwestern Michigan communities, we're conveniently located 3 miles West of Dorr.Our Mission:SKSC is a member-owned, volunteer-operated, non-profit club that provides a friendly and safe environment for nearly every firearms and archery enthusiast.
INVEST IN YOUR CLUB: Now that we have completed the purchase of the 40 acres to the West of the club house, we need to pay for it. You can help and earn money doing so by purchasing a promissory note. These notes are for any even amount over $5000, pay 6% annual interest, and are for 10 years. Contact Dave Smith if you are interested and want to invest. Better than a CD. Can’t invest? Then donate. NEW RANGES, SHARING AND CLOSINGS: There will be less range closings because 10 new pistol bays are being built behind the existing pistol bays. These new pistol bays are for use only during USPSA, IDPA, and other organization’s scheduled events. While the new bays will not be available to members, they will allow members to continue to shoot in the regular bays even during scheduled events. Some special events may still require that ranges, such as the 200 M, be shared rather than closed. Check the calendar for ranges that are closed, or shared. IDPA 2009 MICHIGAN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT SKSC: IDPA is hosting the 10th Annual 2009 Michigan State IDPA Championship this year. This event will close all pistol bays August 24 - August 30. They will also close the 200 M South range Aug 28 - 30. They begin setting stuff up on Monday the 24th and there might be some stuff being moved on the morning of the 31st, so keep an eye open if you plan to shoot in the pistol bays early in the morning. CPL CLASSES AT SKSC: Concealed Pistol Classes will resume at SKSC. The instructor is Terry Thompson. Cost will be $75 for members and $125 for non-members. There is a $25 non-refundable deposit.
